The Brief
Sit and Slim is weight loss program that is operated by Miruji Health and Wellbeing, which had a number of Site and Slim sites around London. The company owner, based in Shropshire, approached Vibe requiring a new website to represent the weight loss program and had a tight deadline, as the site needed to be operational in time to work alongside a large advertising campaign and the owners’ appearance on BBC’s Dragons Den. In addition, the website needed to utilize video content, and so Vibe worked with a video producer also based locally called E-Presenter.
The Solution
Vibe delivered a bespoke website, designed to highlight the key benefits and features of the Sit & Slim system while meeting the tight deadline. The development team worked closely with the video producer to ensure that the design worked with the required video content. In order to meet the tight deadline, the project was split into two phases, seeing the first version of the website designed and built in time for the Dragons Den appearance.
With Sit and Slim due to open at new locations around the UK, and gain results from NHS research, the second phase of the project included implementing content management for the websites’ News, Testimonials and Google Map Locations, allowing the site to expand easily as the business grows. Finally, HTML 5 Video was implemented on the sites home page to introduce the Sit and Slim program, and as HTML 5 content requires no 3rd party plug-in for display on user devices as they access the site.
Now having secured contracts with some large UK health clubs, Miruji are offering free trials of Sit & Slim, and have seen a high level of interest from across the UK.
